They quickly diagnosed and fixed a CO infiltration issue with the furnace, fixed a fault from an old hot water heater, serviced my hot water heater, and serviced my gas fireplace. Then, they recommended more reasonable service intervals, and an action plan to improve my household ventilation and repair several faults left over from the previous owners. I couldn't be happier! We had HVAC1 come out and do our system in the home we are building. They came highly recommended from some friends of the family when we found our sons first home a few years ago. It’s funny the gimmicks other companies use to get your business and HVAC1 does not do this. (When we did our sons house another company I will not name claimed they will beat any competitors pricing and they were advertising free A/C with a heating unit. Their price for the furnace was 1000’s more then HVAC 1’s price, and to beat the price you don’t get the A/C. We only found this out because my son had called them first before I said to call HVAC1)The work Paul’s crew did was Phenomenal. They went above and beyond my expectations and were extremely professional and the team worked together like they are the best of buddies. I did not expect what I received. FIRST OFF, I have NEVER givin anybody a 5 star rating in my entire life and IF it is ever going to happen again it better be as close to picture perfect as you can get. I called and spoke with Marissa the day before yesterday and my pellet stove had quit. So I went to go turn on my furnace and it wasn't heating... so I gave them a call. Marissa couldn't get anyone out the same day but she kept me in the loop with all their progress on getting someone out to my rural home... She even helped me through a hormonal melt down lol ( which is no picnic I assure you lol) But Mike showed up about 1pm yesterday and it took him 7-8 hours but he traced down the problem and resolved it. While he was working on the furnace, the parts for the pellet stove arrived. The HVAC1 installation techs were great! This was a retrofit installation so there were kinks thrown into the process, but the techs were able to get it accomplished with all units working together. It happened to rain on the poor guys all morning, but they were real troopers and muscled through it. After installation of the new coil unit & additional required plumbing the original filter can no longer fit into position (this was no fault of the techs), just the nature of a retrofit. I will eventually fabricate a new exterior cabinet door with a built-in filter, to create a fully functioning filter system. All in all, I was extremely happy with their work. And compared to other local companies quotes, HVAC1 was very reasonably priced.

We just replaced our downdraft range hood and it needed to move the gas line. Under the range, there was no room and looked extremely difficult to reroute the gas line. I called Paul the owner of HVAC1 as we were having trouble with our gas fireplace,it was turning off and not turning on correctly. I had worked with Paul and HVAC1 on some new construction projects as a GC. They were great to work with. Paul sent out a technician and he did a full cleaning and inspection of the unit and discovered the switch was bad. He asked if we would like to upgrade to a wireless remote. Absolutely! Technician was very fast and friendly and the invoice was very fair. Great company, and I strongly recommend. Paul is an honest person of integrity who you can trust.

So frustrating. Had a scheduled appt today and the company didn’t answer the phone when the technician called so he left and they don’t have enough resources to get someone back out. The next appointment is 3 days later. Said they would follow up with updates but no one did. I had to call twice to get any answers and there were no satisfactory answers. Just bought an extra 100 dollars worth of space heaters because of this delay. Would not use them if my insurance didn’t require.

HVAC1 came out the next morning after I had two bad experiences with another company when my AC stopped working, they showed up on time and found out that the issue was not even what I was told before! which was great news, and cost about 1/3rd as I was going to have to pay with the other company which woudnt even have fixed it. We had Semenik HVAC work on our very large addition for a new heat pump and integrating multiple different and complicated systems to the old part of the house. First, Paul was quick to respond to come assess our situation. talking to him was like talking to your neighbor rather than a company personelle. Just had this company come out and service our heat pump in the Nine Mile Falls area. We are preparing our house to sell and under a tight timeline to do so. HVAC1 was absolutely amazing! We have had problems with our Mitsubishi Mini Splits ever since they were installed and multiple hvac companies came out and gave us crazy high bids saying we needed to redo the entire system basically (including ripping through most of our walls and ceilings). However HVAC1 came out and actually diagnosed the problem and found it was a faulty connection in the refrigerant lines. Installed our system 2 years ago. Great all around including price. This year furnace quit working and when the repairman came out he advised that the filter needed to be replaced. I’m a recent widow and my husband used to handle this. The repairman was so nice and educated me on when and what filter to use. This is quality hometown service at its best. We haven't hired Semenik yet; that step in our project is a long way off. However, I wanted to give them 5 stars right now because Paul gave me the time of day. We have a huge building project ahead of us, and because it's in the very preliminary stages (floorplan and permitting), very few HVAC companies will even give me the time of day. By the end of the call, I knew he knew how to design an efficient, cost-effective, balanced, properly sized heating and cooling system in my home.
